Our Next Location!--Date #5

Our next around the world date was the best we have done so far.  On November 29th, we went to Paris!!  I planned for weeks for this date.  I talked and talked to the girls at work and to my mom about ideas for this date.  I decided I was going to build an Eiffle Tower to have a picnic at the base.  A girl at work told me she could draw and was willing to enlarge and draw the Eiffle Tower for me.  I was so excited.  Then I took it home and drew over it with Black and Silver marker.

I thought it turned out really good.  It ended up being a little smaller then I thought it would be, but Jon thought it was cool and that's all that matters.

We had a sample platter of various cheeses with some Sparkling Apple Cider.  It was really good.

After the Cheese and Cracker appetizer, we looked online for a dinner crepe recipe.  We found a chicken broccoli crepe recipe we decided to try.  We didn't have any broccoli, and since it was Sunday we just made the dish without it.  I made the chicken mixture for the inside, and Jon made the crepes.

It turned out really well.  It was so yummy.  Jon and I have decided to add this to our recipe collection.  For our movie of the night, we watched Sabrina.  I hadn't seen it in so long it was fun to see again.  Jon and I had a wonderful time in Paris. I can't wait for our next destination!!

So thankful for Family!!!

This year Jon and I spent Thanksgiving with his family.   Thanksgiving was at Jon's sister Darla's house here in Yakima.  Jon and I went on Wednesday night over to Darla's to spend some time playing games with Jon's family.  We had such a good time.

We played one of our favorite games Telestrations.  It was a lot of fun.

Thursday was Thanksgiving, and Jon had to work in the afternoon.  So his family was so willing to have dinner at noon.  We had a delicious dinner and got to visit with family.  We hadn't seen everyone in quite a while, so it was good to visit with them.

Thanks for hosting Thanksgiving for us Darla.  We had a great time.

After Jon left for work, I headed down to Grandview to see more of my family.  My cousins Adam and his family were there, and so were Curt and his family.  I haven't seen Curt since before he was married.  It was so fun to see him and get to know his family.  I enjoyed talked to Jen, Curt's wife, and seeing their kids.  They have such adorable children.  We had such a fun time.

We had such a fun time visiting and playing games.  It was so great seeing family I hadn't seen in so long.  I love spending time with my family, and what a good way to see family but with a holiday.  I love this time of year, when we see how blessed we really are.  I am so thankful for my family and the close bonds we have.  They truly are my best friends.  I love you all. Another Birthday

My birthday was on a Wednesday this year, and Jon was so great.  He surprised me with a small party when I got home from work.  I opened gifts, and then we had ice cream cake.  It was sooo good. I got a couple of new games from Kloepfer's and a massage from Jon.  I haven't had a chance to get that yet, but I'm hoping to fit that in before Christmas.  After the party, Jon had reservations at Zesta Cucina, a good italian restaurant here in town.  It was so good.  Such a fun atmosphere.  We had appetizers, and chicken fettucini for dinner.  It was delicious.  They even had an ice cream for my birthday.  It was so nice to spend such a romantic dinner with Jon.  Sometimes it seems there are times when I never see him.  So the time I get to spend with him, I cherish very much.

On Thursday, I got to spend another day celebrating my birthday.  We went to watch The Hunger Games Mockingbird part 1 movie.  It was soooo good.  I loved it.  I had been waiting a year for this movie and it didn't disappoint.  It was another night I got to spend with Jon and it was worth it.
