Thanksgiving 2019

Thanksgiving this year was at Jon's sister Darla's house.  We all went over about 11:00.  Most everyone had just woken up.  The kids had a fun time playing.  I had a hard time because I was fighting a migraine.  After dinner Jocelyn was definitely ready for a nap so I left with her and took her home for a nap.  The quiet definitely helped with my migraine.  After Jocelyn's nap we went back and had some pie.  I took a cherry pie, and boy was it yummy.  That would have to be my favorite.

The day after Thanksgiving Jon had to work.  My mom had a houseful of people so I took the kids down, so they could play with cousins and we spent the day with them.  Lisa and her family were there, Emily and her family, Brian and his family, and Adam and Brandi were all there.  We have so much fun when we get together.  One of our favorite games to play is Telestrations.  It is so funny and we all laugh so hard.

More Halloween Festivities

Isn't she just the cutest little pirate?  Malachi wanted her to wear his pirate hat.

On Tuesday we carved our pumpkins.

This was my pumpkin.

I had actually made a shirt for all the girls in the office for Halloween.  We all had matching shirts.

Ready to go trick or treating!

We had a good time.  The boys got more candy than they needed.  Happy Halloween!

Bills Berry Farm

I have heard a lot about Bills Berry Farm down in Grandview, so I decided to take the kids down to check it out on Friday.  They had so much fun.  It was definitely more than I thought it would be.  There was a corn maze, a hayride, a big playground, race cars, apple sling shots and of course a pumpkin patch.  The kids had a lot of fun.  It was also a perfect beautiful day.

Crater Lake

The reunion is over, but we wanted to do a small little vacation with just our family, so we took a longer way home and stopped in Crater Lake on our way home.  Jon and the kids were really excited because they had never been there and I had been telling them how beautiful it was.  Unfortunately when we got there we didn't get to see much.  There had been wild fires all over, and it definitely affected our view of the lake.  When we were getting closer I thought maybe we would luck out because there were blue skies.  But once we got to the top it was just too smoky.  The kids enjoyed learning about it, and we had lunch, but we didn't stay too long.  Maybe we can take the kids back next year.

We stayed the night in Bend, OR and then headed home on Saturday.  We are home now and tired and exhausted, but we had such a wonderful time.  I love spending time with my family.
