50th Anniversary

Jon started working at Washington Beef in June and last night they had a huge 50th Anniversary celebration.  They rented out the Sundome and they had such a good dinner.  Of course there were all kinds of meat.  They had vegetables, potatoes, and then they had brisket, pork tenderloin, and beef tenderloin.  Oh my goodness so good.  Then they had a huge array of desserts.  We definitely did not leave hungry.  They even gave each person that went a gift.  I got a zip up sweater, and Jon got a really, really soft blanket.  They are both so nice!!  This is such a great company to work for.  Jon really enjoys it.  It is hard work, but we have been able to get good meat at a discount, and they really just take good care of their employees.  I would say this is probably the best job Jon has ever had.

They had this mexican band, which I guess is really famous, but I didn't know who they were.  I must say they really no how to throw a party.

Trunk or Treat

Our ward did not do a trunk or treat this year, so our friends invited us to their ward's.  We had a lot of fun.  I found this really cute pig costume for Jocelyn.  She was so cute!!!  However the trunk or treat was during the day and it happened to be really warm, so I was a little worried that she would get too hot, but she ended up being ok. It was on Saturday so it looks like I will be taking the kids trick or treating on Halloween.  I wish they would do the trunk or treat on Halloween then I wouldn't feel like I needed to take my kids out. The kids love the trunk or treat.

My cute Pirate

Jon and I went simple this year with costumes.  I just made us shirts with my Cricut machine.

Lost tooth

Malachi lost his first tooth!!  He was so excited to be able to get some money from the tooth fairy.  This is the first of many.

Special Friends

Today was Stake Conference.  I have a friend who is just in love with Jocelyn.  She has to hold her every week at church.  She is slowly dying and it will be sad when she is gone.  But Jocelyn and she have such a special bond.  They sat across the aisle from us at Stake Conference so Jocelyn went over for a little bit so Penny could hold her.  Penny had a little chair for her to keep her feet up, but she let Jocelyn sit in it and I thought it was just so cute I had to snap a picture.

Lori had a baby!

While I was at the pumpkin patch, I was informed that my sister Lori was in labor at the hospital.  She had her little boy, Ryan, while I was at the pumpkin patch so I didn't get to go right away to see him.  He had a little difficulties so they took him straight to the NICU.  I went that night to go visit Lori and hope that I would get to see the little guy.  Well I lucked out...I actually got to hold him!!  He is so cute.  Congratulations Lori & Stuart on your little miracle.

Bills Berry Farm

I have heard a lot about Bills Berry Farm down in Grandview, so I decided to take the kids down to check it out on Friday.  They had so much fun.  It was definitely more than I thought it would be.  There was a corn maze, a hayride, a big playground, race cars, apple sling shots and of course a pumpkin patch.  The kids had a lot of fun.  It was also a perfect beautiful day.
