Easter Weekend

  I just have to say the holidays are so much more fun with kids.  I enjoy them so much more.  These kids have so much fun together.  Its so cute to watch them be together.

We went down to my parents house.  They were out of town, but we went down to visit my aunt.  When I drove up I saw they had a sign in their yard that their town does for Yard of the Month.  Well done with the yard mom and dad.

We had an enjoyable Easter holiday.  Friday night we decorated Easter eggs so the Easter bunny could hide them.

Sunday we all wore our new Easter outfits.

 For Family Home Evening tonight we had a lesson about Easter and for our activity and refreshments, we did resurrection rolls.

Easter surprise

Penny and I were sitting in the living room talking and she happened to look up and see someone out in our front yard.  The Ditto family egged our house for Easter.  It was super sweet.

Inside the eggs was different kinds of candy.  The kids loved it.

Easter Weekend

For Easter weekend we invited Jon's mom to come and visit for the holiday.  When I came home from work, I looked around the house and found Jon and his mom working out in the back yard.  Jon had been working for several hours on a tree stump that he wanted to get out.  By the time I got home, he had it almost all finished.  It was a huge log!!  And he used the tiniest hatchet to get that thing out.

Friday night we invited Jon's sister and brother in law to come over for games and ice cream.   So on Saturday night, we colored easter eggs.  Jon had to work so he wasn't able to color them with us. So Jon's mom and I colored them.  We had a good time.

We did have a visit from the Easter bunny.  It's always fun to have a little treat.

For dinner I made ham, cheesy potato casserole, and a fresh fruit salad.  Boy it was sure good.  It was so nice to have Jon's mom here for the holiday.
