Family Vacation-Part 2

Our first day in Crescent City, Emily took us up to Stout Grove in the Redwoods.  This was a driving trail.  We could drive and it was like we were hiking through the woods.  The pictures don't do it justice.  These trees are so beautiful, and huge!!!

The kids wanted us to take pictures of them at EVERY tree...It was so fun.

This picture was taken in a hollowed out tree.  We all fit in there.

These kids were so much fun.  It was fun to spend a whole week with them.  It would be so cute.  Every now and then Jon and I would be walking and a little hand would slip into ours.  It made us feel so special.

That afternoon we went to a beach south of Crescent City where there are a lot of Sand Dollars.  You can find them right on the beach.  I found a really small one, and Jon found a big one.  It was really cool.  There were some people who had grocery bags full of Sand Dollars.  We had so much fun with the kids.

The last lighthouses we saw were off the coast of Crescent City.  This cape cod light house was really cool.  Jon and I took Jacob and Emma inside.

Emily and the younger boys waited for us down below.

That afternoon, Emily took us to North beach.  From there, we could see a lighthouse 6 miles off the coast.  This is one we couldn't go up to see, so we just took pictures from the shore.  We had such a good time going to the beach.

Will loved playing with the seaweed.

The water was cold!!

Next day Emily took us down to Big Tree..  It was huge.  Then we went hiking in the Redwoods.  It was so fun.
