Date night #3---Spain!

On Wednesday 9/24 Jon and I had another date around the world and this stop was Spain.  I originally wanted to take Jon Salsa dancing but they only have that here on Fridays, so I had to think of something else. I asked some of the girls at work for some ideas for Spanish food.  A girl gave me the idea of doing tacos.  So i made Potato tacos, and Bean tacos.  They turned out really good.  Jon really liked them too.  When he was watching me make dinner, he thought it was kind weird and wasn't sure if he really wanted to eat it.  I told him to give it a chance.  He ended up loving it.

Frying the tacos

Rolling them up

The final product.  It was yummy

After Dinner we watched the movie Dance with Me on Netflix.  It ended up being a pretty good movie.  We started early enough we were still able to get to bed at a decent hour for work the next day.

I printed off some romantic spanish phrases so that Jon and I could talk to each other in Spanish.  We weren't very good, but it was fun to try.

What does the Fair say!?!

On October 19th, Jon and I went to the Central Washington State Fair.  We got to the fair just before 1:00 so we could park and and get in for free..We made it in with 10 minutes to spare.

They had the tiger again this year.  He laid down the whole time we were there, so it was much easier to take a picture.

The Turtle was crawling around all over the place

camels waiting to give rides

This was a lot of fun to watch.  They had pig races at the fair this year.  It was so cute to see these little things run around a track.

The candy land display at the Sweet Treats display.  It was interesting to see how candy bars were made and where they started.

After dinner we headed over to watch the sprint car races.  We really enjoy watching those.  We first found a seat towards the front and as we sat there, we started getting mud thrown onto us.  So we decided to sit up in the covered bleachers.  It was so fun to see them race.

After we watched some of the races, we got ready to head out, but Jon wanted to do one more thing.  So we headed over to a booth that had a virtual reality.  Jon enjoyed this. It was very entertaining seeing him moving around in the chair and some of the facial expressions that he had as he was going thru it.

We had such a great time at the fair.  I always just love spending time with Jon.  I love him so much and am so grateful that he is in my lift.  I love you Jon.

Labor Day Weekend

We spent Labor Day weekend at home this year.  We thought we would go visit family, but everyone was gone for Labor Day, so we decided to have a BBQ at our house.  We invited a couple of friends over and had such a great time.  Everyone brought something to eat and we had soo much food.  Jon and I got a badminton net to set up and play.  We had a lot of fun with that.  Thanks Joel and Jill, Falaun, and Lori for coming.  It was fun to get to know everyone better and spend the afternoon playing.
