Baking Buddy

This girl has gotten to be where she wants to help me cook and see what is going on.  It is so cute.  Today I made Chocolate Chip Cookies for FHE and so she helped me.  There wasn't much on this, so I let her lick the beater.  She thought it was pretty good.

New Table

We were shopping at Costco for groceries and having fun when we started to go to check out Jon had to go back to get something we missed.  He caught back up with us before we made it to the register and he told me I needed to come look at this table.  I LOVED it.  It is so pretty.  And it was a really great price.  We left without the table, and Jon went back with our neighbor, who has a truck and bought it.  It is BIG.  But it will fit our family plus guests really easy.  So we are getting rid of our old table.

Christmas Gifts

I made these bean bags for the boys to use when we have family movie night.  It definitely took longer to make than I thought it would, and more bean bag fill than I thought I would need, but they turned out really good.  The boys love them.

I was thrilled when I opened this cookbook up on Christmas morning.  I tried the biscuits and gravy recipes to have for dinner one night and OH MY GOODNESS!!!  They were so good.  Everybody loved them.  I'm definitely going to have to make them more.

We went down to Grandview to pick up the boys and have New Year's dinner with my family.  I also decided to make matching shirts, with my Cricut machine, to say Hello to the new year.  I thought they were all so cute, and everyone loved them.

7 year anniversary

The boys didn't want to come home after Christmas, they wanted to stay the week at Grandmas.  Well we hadn't packed enough clothes to do that, so I took the boys down on Friday.  Jon and I were able to spend the weekend together with Jocelyn.  It was nice.  On Monday was our Anniversary.  Jon's mom had come back Sunday, so she stayed home with Jocelyn while Jon and I went to the Yakima Steak Company for dinner to celebrate our 7th anniversary.  It was so good.

We had such a good time.  And the food was so good I would definitely go again.

They even gave us a $10 gift card as a gift for our anniversary.

I can't believe we have been married for 7 years.  It has just flown by.  We have had many ups and downs, but the ups definitely far outweigh the downs.  Jon got me the movie Hidden Figures for our anniversary.  The gift for the 7th anniversary is copper, so I got Jon a key chain that had a 2011 penny with a heart around 2011.  It says 7 down eternity to go.  I love it.  I hope he loves it too.  I am so grateful for the decision I made 7 years ago.  It was definitely the best decision I have ever made.  I love you more and more with every passing year.  Happy Anniversary Jon.

And another year is in the books.

Christmas

We spent Christmas this year down in Grandview at my parents house.  We decided we wanted to spend Christmas Eve there as well, so we went down Sunday after sacrament meeting so we could spend some good family time.  The boys finally got to hold their cousin Ryan.

Christmas Eve we did our annual Family Home Evening where we read the Christmas story.  Then we had some numbers performed.  The boys sang a song they learned in primary.  They did really well but were really nervous.  They all got to open one present after FHE.  It was, of course, pajamas that I made this year.  It was fun and I think they all turned out really cute.

  

Christmas morning was so fun to see how excited the kids were.  James got a 4-1 table that included pool, foos ball, ping pong, and hockey.  He LOVED it.  Malachi got a really cool Spiderman bike.  Jocelyn got a rocking horse.  Every girls wants a pony.  It is such a cute little pony, and she loved it.

I commissioned a friend to paint me a family tree that I could give to my parents for Christmas.  It was so BIG!!  They had no idea what it was.  I was so excited to see them open it.  They really loved it.

School winter concert

The boys had their winter concert on Tuesday.  They did the 1st and 4th grades together, so I only had to go once.  They did a good job. 

I love that they make sweaters this small...I think this is so cute on her.
