This girl has gotten to be where she wants to help me cook and see what is going on. It is so cute. Today I made Chocolate Chip Cookies for FHE and so she helped me. There wasn't much on this, so I let her lick the beater. She thought it was pretty good.

New things
The boys have be asking about my beads that I have seen downstairs, and asked if I could show them how to make bookmarks. So Saturday I got out my beads and helped the boys make bookmarks. I was surprised how much they enjoyed it. I always enjoy getting my beads out. We had to bring Jocelyn to join in the fun. She just loves to be a part of things.
This little girl is just cute in everything she wears and everything she does. We just love her.
James has started working on his faith in God award. One of the requirements is to teach a Family Home Evening lesson on Joseph Smith. James did a great job.
We decided to surprise my mom for her birthday and met her, my dad, and grandpa at El Porton in Zillah. She had no idea we were coming so it was fun when she showed up and there we were at the door waiting for her. The kids love spending time with Grandma and Grandpa.
We got home and Jocelyn's foot was sticking out of the car seat. I thought it was so cute to see her little foot there.

Kids
Our kids love Family Home Evening, which is great. We don't have any complaints every week. For refreshments on Sunday, we decided to pull out the chocolate fountain.
I love Malachi's concentration here. It's so cute.
This week Penny had Spirit week at school where they dress up. She dressed up Tues, Wed and Thurs. It was fun to help her find this to wear.
Cowboy day
Nerd day
Baby day
Then on Friday she went to the Mormon Prom. Lisa let her borrow this dress. She had such a good time. It was fun to see her excited to be going.

Carving Pumpkins
Tonight for FHE Jon and I carved pumpkins. This was the first year since we have been married that we were able to carve pumpkins. We haven't been able to do it in the past because Jon worked so much.
I did the Frankenstein and Jon did the Spider

Making Raspberry Jam
My mom has a great raspberry patch and she had a lot of raspberries that needed to be picked. So for Family Home Evening one night, Jon and I decided we would make some raspberry jam. This was a first for Jon, and he really enjoyed it. Of course, he loved the finished product as well and had to taste it several times. :)
We ended up with about 24 jars of jam. Thanks mom for the raspberries!!!
