7 year anniversary

The boys didn't want to come home after Christmas, they wanted to stay the week at Grandmas.  Well we hadn't packed enough clothes to do that, so I took the boys down on Friday.  Jon and I were able to spend the weekend together with Jocelyn.  It was nice.  On Monday was our Anniversary.  Jon's mom had come back Sunday, so she stayed home with Jocelyn while Jon and I went to the Yakima Steak Company for dinner to celebrate our 7th anniversary.  It was so good.

I had filet mignon with a baked potato....so yummy

Jon had New York Steak with 3 cheese macaroni, risotto, and green beans

Complimentary dessert for our anniversary

We had such a good time.  And the food was so good I would definitely go again.

They even gave us a $10 gift card as a gift for our anniversary.

I can't believe we have been married for 7 years.  It has just flown by.  We have had many ups and downs, but the ups definitely far outweigh the downs.  Jon got me the movie Hidden Figures for our anniversary.  The gift for the 7th anniversary is copper, so I got Jon a key chain that had a 2011 penny with a heart around 2011.  It says 7 down eternity to go.  I love it.  I hope he loves it too.  I am so grateful for the decision I made 7 years ago.  It was definitely the best decision I have ever made.  I love you more and more with every passing year.  Happy Anniversary Jon.

And another year is in the books.

New Years Eve

We went down to my parents for New Year's Eve.  It is also our anniversary, and because it was a sunday this year, we celebrated on Saturday the 30th at Olive Garden.  The food was so good.  We hadn't eaten there in so long.  They even gave us a free dessert because we were celebrating our anniversary.  It was yummy.

I can't believe we have been married 6 years.  What a ride it has been.  It keeps getting better and better.  I love you so much Jon.

For new years eve, we watched a movie, played games and had goodies and let James stay up until midnight with us.  We had a good time with him and the rest of my family.

New Years Eve 2015

On December 23rd we were officially licensed to be foster parents. Our hope in doing this, is to adopt some little kids since Jon and I seem to struggle having kids.  Our first little kiddo we had over New Years Eve. We just had him for respite for a week. Respite is pretty much just babysitting. He is such a cutie.  We spent New Years Eve down at my parents house in Grandview so they could enjoy Angel as well.  We have had so much fun with this little guy.

It is fun to see Jon in that father role. I can hardly wait to be full time parents.  What a great way to spend our anniversary. Happy Anniversary Jon. I have a feeling it's only going to get better.

Can't believe it is already February!!

Welcome to 2015!!  I can't believe it is already the middle of February.   So here is an update:

We celebrated our 3rd anniversary on New Years Eve.  Jon's mom and sister came to ring in the New Year with us.  We had some good treats, watched a few movies, and played some games.  We were barely able to stay up to watch the ball fall but we did watch it.  We were in bed shortly after.

We didn't get to do much for our anniversary so when I came home from work, I was surprised to see Jon cooking in the kitchen.  He was making a special dinner for our anniversary.  It was so nice.  Happy Anniversary Jon!

With all the Holidays, Jon and I missed our next around the world date.  So I did a small date in which we went to the land down under.  That's right...we headed to Australia.

I found this poster of animals we were going to go to the library to find these australian animals.  Jon had basketball all day that day, so by the time he got home, the library was already closed.  So we didn't get to do this activity.  So for dinner, Jon and I went to Outback.  It was really foggy, so I didn't get a picture.

After dinner, we came home and watched Crocodile Dundee.  It was pretty laid back and quiet, but nice to be able to spend some time together.

Jon and I have wanted to do some updates around the house, but we have to be conscious of our budget.  I found this product that will make floors shiny, and it was well in my budget.  We applied it to the floor and boy do they shine.  They look brand new.  They are fantastic!!

It's hard to believe it's been ONE year!!!

Jon and I had our 1 year anniversary on December 31st.  Because Jon had to work on our Anniversary, we celebrated it by going out to dinner on the Saturday before.  Jon surprised me and took me to the Carousel French Cuisine Restaurant.  It was sooo good.

Jon had a delicious Filet Minon

I had stuffed Chicken Breast

Both of our dinners were so good.  We even treated ourselves to Shirley Temples.  They were good.

A delicious chocolate and caramel parfait for dessert

Thanks Jon for a wonderful night.

On December 31, before Jon went to work and I went down to my parents' house for the holiday, we did have dinner and then we got out our cake top from our wedding cake.  I was a little leery to try it, because I have heard so many people say that their cake tasted really gross after the first year, but we decided to give it a try anyway.  Turned out it wasn't so bad.  It was actually delicious!!!  I am so glad I wrapped it so good.  Thanks Jenna for making us such a great tasting cake. :)

Happy Anniversary Jon.  It's hard to believe we have been through one year.  I love you more now than I did when we first got married.  I can hardly wait to celebrate the next 10, 20, 30 years with you.  I look forward to spending the rest of eternity with you.  I love you.
