Special Friends

Today was Stake Conference.  I have a friend who is just in love with Jocelyn.  She has to hold her every week at church.  She is slowly dying and it will be sad when she is gone.  But Jocelyn and she have such a special bond.  They sat across the aisle from us at Stake Conference so Jocelyn went over for a little bit so Penny could hold her.  Penny had a little chair for her to keep her feet up, but she let Jocelyn sit in it and I thought it was just so cute I had to snap a picture.

Lori had a baby!

While I was at the pumpkin patch, I was informed that my sister Lori was in labor at the hospital.  She had her little boy, Ryan, while I was at the pumpkin patch so I didn't get to go right away to see him.  He had a little difficulties so they took him straight to the NICU.  I went that night to go visit Lori and hope that I would get to see the little guy.  Well I lucked out...I actually got to hold him!!  He is so cute.  Congratulations Lori & Stuart on your little miracle.

Jocelyn's 1st Birthday Party

I spent a lot of time planning Jocelyn's birthday party.  I know she won't remember it, but I still wanted it to be special.  I made decorations, the banner, and a smash cake for her.  She thought the cake tasted pretty good, but she did not like the ice cream.  It was way too cold.  My family came and of course Jon's mom was there.  I served tacos for lunch, which was delicious then we had dessert and opened gifts.  Jocelyn didn't totally understand what was going on, but she knew it was all about her.

She took a while to get into the cake.  By the end of the day she was a little messy.

I made the mistake of showing my mom and my sister the same picture, so they got her the same thing.  I felt so bad.  I definitely was not paying attention.  So we went and got something else for Jocelyn.

Happy 1st Birthday Princess!!

How is this possible!! Jocelyn Ann is 1 year!! It feels like yesterday when I first held her. This little girl is crawling everywhere!! We are working on walking but she isn't steady yet. She has 4 teeth two on top and two on bottom. We are just starting to move her into 9-12 month clothes. She loves playing with her toys and loves being with mom all the time. She talks like crazy. I would guess she weighs around 19 or 20 pounds. We will find out in two days. Happy Birthday princess. We have so much fun to come.

Growing

Jocelyn is growing so fast.  She has been so much fun to watch.  My mother in law sent me this picture at work.  I think it might be time to lower the crib.
