All my Valentine's

This year I decided to give everyone a small little gift everyday up until Valentine's Day.  The kids loved it and they looked forward to it every day.  I had a small amount of candy or something with a little saying on it.  It was a lot of fun to do and fun to see the kids reactions.   I took a few pictures of some of the treats I did.  On Valentine's day I gave them a box of conversation hearts.

The kids loved these straws.  They turned regular milk into strawberry milk.

It was a lot of fun.  I don't know if I would do this every year, but it was fun for the first year with the kids.

Sharing the news

Today we went to my parents house for our monthly family dinner.  We decided this was a good time to tell my family the baby news.  Jon and I got to my parent's house early and put our little announcements on each chair.  Unfortunately we did buffet style for dinner, so not everyone got to see the announcement at the same time.  What happened is my dad got Grandpa dinner and so Grandpa went to sit down and saw the paper on his chair.  I was standing in the kitchen when I heard my dad reading it to him. So dad then came in and held up the paper and asked "OK...who's expecting?"  Everyone looked around in silence and I raised my hand and everyone started to scream, cry and jump up and down.  It was pretty exciting.  Everyone was just thrilled.  I was so excited about their reactions all I could do was cry.  Of course they were happy tears. 

This and That

The missionaries have been teaching James and Penny.  The missionaries we have had in the ward are Elder Nelson and Elder Allen.  We took this picture right before Elder Nelson was transferred.

When we first got James, we registered him for Cub Scouts.  He just participated in his first pinewood derby.  He had a lot of fun designing and cutting out his car.

Next comes painting the car

Time to race...James didn't have the fastest car, but he thought it was a lot of fun.  He won the award for sportiest car.
