Summer fun

We had to pull out the slip n slide we won at the company party.  It was really hot and the boys wanted to try it out.  I would say they loved it.

James had one last thing to do to earn is Wolf in Cub Scouts.  He needed to talk to someone who worked in public service.  I called an old friend, Curt Oja, who is a detective for the Yakima Police Department.  He came over to talk to the boys.  They enjoyed trying on a bullet proof vest.  I thought Malachi would fall over it was so big on him.

Blue and Gold Banquet

For the Blue and Gold banquet, we were to make a cake portraying the theme of the banquet.  The theme this year was Put on the Whole Armor of God.  So we got the whole family together to make this cake.  I thought it actually turned out really cute, and James really liked it.

James was awarded his bobcat.  He is really enjoying cub scouts.

This and That

The missionaries have been teaching James and Penny.  The missionaries we have had in the ward are Elder Nelson and Elder Allen.  We took this picture right before Elder Nelson was transferred.

When we first got James, we registered him for Cub Scouts.  He just participated in his first pinewood derby.  He had a lot of fun designing and cutting out his car.

Next comes painting the car

Time to race...James didn't have the fastest car, but he thought it was a lot of fun.  He won the award for sportiest car.
