The Best Wedding Gift Ever!!

Jon and I got several gift cards for different places for our wedding.  After getting some of the things we needed, or wanted we still had some left.  So we purchased one of my favorite things.  We got a cotton candy maker.  I love cotton candy.  It arrived on our doorstep on Tuesday so that night we decided to test it out.

Jon took a picture of me, but apparently it didn't actually take. But here is the finished product.

As you can see we really loved it.

This is the Best Wedding Gift Ever!!! Thanks to all those who gave us those wonderful gift cards.

Babysitting

Occasionally I have the opportunity to babysit my niece and nephew that live here in Yakima.  We had that opportunity last Saturday while Brian and Summer were painting Brian's office.  They are so much fun to babysit.  Maybrie has such an imagination and loves to play.  Her big thing was playing Santa.  She would pretend to be asleep and I had to pretend I was Santa and bring toys out so when she woke up she would be surprised about what she got.  It was actually really cute.  She is also huge into singing and dancing.  I took a video of her that was just so cute.

Maybrie finally got tuckered out and cuddled with Jon for a little while.  Jon loved it.

We always enjoy when we get to spend time with them.

Snow!!

Yesterday and today we have gotten over a foot of snow. It has been so much fun. Jon and I spent the day playing in the snow. This morning as he was out shoveling the driveway I decided to go out and surprise him and start a snowball fight. The snow didn't pack very well, so we resorted to throwing each other in the snow. We had so much fun. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures because it is very hard to take pictures while you are having snow thrown at you. We also made a couple of snow angels, which were quickly filled in with fresh falling snow.

Jon was excited to start sledding.. Trust me that's his excited face.

Waiting his turn to go down the hill.

On his way down!!!

Can you tell I was super excited?

I decided that pictures just weren't enough to show how much fun we had, so here are a couple of videos for you to enjoy.  We did go down a couple times together, but we didn't have anyone to video that, so you just get us separately.  Enjoy!!

Sorry if they are way fuzzy.  I have lost the charging cord to my nice camera, and until I find it, I will have to use what I have on my phone.  But you can still see how much fun we had.  Jon wants to do it again tomorrow, but we'll see.  Happy Snow Day everyone!!! Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!!!

Newbie

So I have decided that now that I am married, I should keep up with the rest of the family and start a blog. This will allow me to document the important and the not so important things that happen with Jonathan and Me.

December 31st I married the most wonderful man in the world. We were married in the Columbia River Temple. It was such a neat experience. Most of my family was able to be there and it was so great to see so many people who cared about us there. President George Johnson married us, which was lucky, because he was losing his voice the day before and wasn't sure if he would be able to perform the marriage if it didn't get better. Fortunately with a lot of rest, and I'm sure a lot of prayer, he was able to be there to perform the wedding.

We are still getting our house in order, but it has been fun to see things go up on the walls and to see my house become our home. I will be posting pictures when I get them. Thanks to everyone for the wonderful support and help you have been. It has meant a lot.
