On Saturday July 9th, we went down to Temple Square to spend a little time looking around. We had lunch and then met my cousin Mike Naylor and his family at the zoo. We thought Rex would love the zoo, and he really did. It was a very hot day, so we had to get hats to keep the sun off. We didn't want to get too sunburned. There was a point where there is this little play area that had water. Rex had to go play in that. He had so much fun.
After the zoo we went with Mike and Denise to The Old Spaghetti Factory for dinner. We had such a good time visiting. It had been a long time since I had seen them, so it was fun to catch up. Thanks for hanging out with us Mike!!! We had a blast. ;)
Sunday we went to church with our friends, the Cutlers, who let us stay in their home during our weekend in Salt Lake. It was nice to visit with them. Dad decided to read to Rex before church. I thought this was so cute.
That evening my old friend from college Audri Ence, invited us over for dinner and a visit. It was fun to see how her family has grown. We just talked and talked. It was like we hadn't been apart. It was so fun to see her.
On Monday we headed on up to Bear Lake to meet with family. On our way we stopped in Logan. We ate at such a good restaurant. It was just this little place called the Blue Bird Cafe. It was sooo good. Rex was so hungry he couldn't wait. So he ate some of Jon's soup, which was really good.
After lunch, we drove up to the Temple. Jon had never been there and this was where my parents were married. The temple wasn't open, but the gate was still open, so they let us walk around. It was a nice break for Rex to get out of the car and rest.
It is such a beautiful building and was such a beautiful day. We dreamed about being sealed together with Rex.
