Christmas

We spent Christmas this year down in Grandview at my parents house.  We decided we wanted to spend Christmas Eve there as well, so we went down Sunday after sacrament meeting so we could spend some good family time.  The boys finally got to hold their cousin Ryan.

They love watching movies at Grandmas

Christmas Eve we did our annual Family Home Evening where we read the Christmas story.  Then we had some numbers performed.  The boys sang a song they learned in primary.  They did really well but were really nervous.  They all got to open one present after FHE.  It was, of course, pajamas that I made this year.  It was fun and I think they all turned out really cute.

Christmas morning was so fun to see how excited the kids were.  James got a 4-1 table that included pool, foos ball, ping pong, and hockey.  He LOVED it.  Malachi got a really cool Spiderman bike.  Jocelyn got a rocking horse.  Every girls wants a pony.  It is such a cute little pony, and she loved it.

I commissioned a friend to paint me a family tree that I could give to my parents for Christmas.  It was so BIG!!  They had no idea what it was.  I was so excited to see them open it.  They really loved it.

School winter concert

The boys had their winter concert on Tuesday.  They did the 1st and 4th grades together, so I only had to go once.  They did a good job.

I love that they make sweaters this small...I think this is so cute on her.

Ward Christmas Party

Our Ward Christmas party was yesterday.  They did a family dance like they did last year.  It's fun, but a lot of people, especially older people, don't feel like they can go.  Jocelyn was really tired, so we left her home with grandma and left with the boys.  They had a pretty good time and got to see Santa again.

Senior Center Christmas party

There senior center here in town had a christmas party that was free to the public. We decided to take the kids.  We didn't tell them where we were going, so they were surprised when they got there.  There were lots of LEGO displays that kids had built and entered for a LEGO building contest.  There were LEGOs that kids were able to play with.  Lots of craft things to make, and of course Santa was there.

When we were getting in the car the boys were getting mad because they didn't get to see Santa.  We had asked them earlier and they said they didn't want to.  So we had to go back in so they would get to see Santa.

I just love this outfit.

Cricut projects

So I received a cricut cutting machine about 3 years ago for Christmas and didn't use it very often.  I have discovered a new love for it and have had so much fun learning about all the things that I can actually make.  So I made the Halloween shirts I talked about in a previous post.  I also finished up my Christ Centered Advent Calendar.

Then my mom and sisters and I had our annual cookie exchange on Friday.  I made them all a gift.

Then I made boxes to deliver the cookies in from our cookie exchange.

Proud moment

I was so proud of Malachi when I got a call from the school telling me that he got a wildcat award.  He has really been working hard at school to be respectful of his teachers and to try hard with his reading.  Great job Malachi!

Jocelyn has figured out how to get to the camera on my phone.  I have so many pictures on my phone she has taken.  They all look like this hahah:

Christmas Season is here!

We start off the Christmas season every year with going to the Seventh Day Adventist Church's live Nativity.  It's called Journey to Bethlehem.  You go thru the city of Bethlehem pay taxes then stop by the wise men, the shepherds and the to Mary Joseph and the Baby.  It's really neat.  They even bring in live animals.  This year we invited my parents to come with us.  I think they enjoyed it, but they did say once was enough.

Jocelyn's friend Penny bought her these cute Minnie mouse pajamas.
