Father's Day weekend

On Father's Day weekend, we went to Old Town Days they have every year in Union Gap.  We had never been and thought we would check it out.  We have a current emergency respite with us.  Her name is Penny.  She was able to go with us, but she somehow isn't in any pictures.  But we all had a good time.

Jon learning how to hold a musket

Rex loved the horses...until he got up close.  He wasn't to fond of that.  hahaha

They were almost closed for the day, so we didn't get to see too much.  We are going to try to go again next year, because they apparently recreate a battle.

Then I made a cake for Jon.  It was a vanilla cake with strawberries in the middle.  It was really good.

Happy Father's Day Jon.  It has been fun to see you enter that role with the kids we have in our home.  I'm looking to celebrating many more with you. :)

Just Having Fun!!

This little guy just lights up our life.  He is just so cute.  Here are just a few pics that we took while we were having fun.

He loves this train set

And he loves his blankets.  He carries these around everywhere with him.

Wedding

My sister in law Melinda got married on June 10th.  We went up to help her celebrate.  Rex had a lot of fun at the reception.  He was so cute dancing with these other little kids.  Congratulations Melinda and Brandon!!  We wish you a life of happiness.

Spokane

Rex had an appointment at Children's hospital in Spokane.  We drove up and stayed in a hotel.  His appointment wasn't until 1 in the afternoon so I called up a friend and met her down at the park after we had breakfast at the hotel.  I took Rex down to Spokane Falls and he just loved watching all that water move so fast.
After the waterfall, I took Rex to play at the park.  He loves playing at the park.

When we met up with my friend we walked to Red Robin and had lunch.  I had Rex walking so much that morning, he was really tired at lunch.  But he isn't one to miss out on food so he ate his lunch and could barely stay awake.  He fell asleep on the 5 minute drive to the hospital and then slept all the way back home.  It was definitely a quiet drive home.

Days are getting warmer

With the warmer days we are spending more and more time outside.  We found this little bubble lawn mower and Rex just loves it.  He goes out when Jon is mowing the lawn to help him.  It is so cute.

We spent Memorial Day weekend at my parents in Grandview.  I decided to make cookies for the BBQ we were having with the family.  Rex was excited to help.

They taste really good.  He had to try one out. :)
