We got the call!!!

I got a call this week there was an 18 month old little boy who needed a home with for long term possible adopt.  We were so excited.  I met up with the previous foster parents in Pasco to bring this little guy home.  I did stop by some family so they could meet him.  He is so cute.  I fell in love with him instantly. He fell asleep in the car on the way home.  This is Rex.

He is such a happy little boy. His smile just lights up the room.

This kid LOVES food!!!  So much he makes mmmm noises when he eats.  It is so funny.

This weekend at the church we had our annual Easter egg hunt.  I took Rex so he could have some fun finding eggs.  It took him a little bit to understand, but once he figured it out, he got quite the haul.

Happy Easter!  All of us in our Easter outfits.  I loved Rex's little suit.  It was so cute we felt we needed to get it.  Plus he needed something to wear to church.

Rex loves balls!!!  He could toss a ball back and forth for hours.

This guy lights up our life.  He is so much fun.  I get tired chasing him around everywhere, but it is so worth it when I feel the Joy that I feel.

Time Out for Women

This weekend was such a wonderful weekend.  I was able to go to Time Out for Women in Spokane with my mom and my sisters.  I love going and hearing the speakers.  They are always so good, and I get so much out of it.  Friday night we went to dinner at Azteca Mexican Restaurant.  It was so yummy.  I love mexican food.

While I was in Spokane on Saturday, Jon was working some AAU games.  So I asked a friend if he could watch Thomas for us.  He has 2 kids right around Thomas' age, so I thought it would be perfect.  He was willing to watch him for me.  While I was checking in, he sent me this picture to show me Thomas was having a good time.

Sunday night Jon and I went to Stake Choir practice.  Kloepfers, our neighbors, were always willing to have Thomas come over to their house while we were at practice.  This was our last Sunday with Thomas.  He was going home Monday. We wanted to make sure we got a "family picture" with us, because he has become part of our family.

This morning I walked Thomas to the bus stop, said goodbye and put him on the bus.  It was hard saying goodbye.  I cried as I walked back to the house.  I hope that he will always remember the kindness and love we showed him while he was with us.  He has left an imprint on my heart forever.
