Christmas 2013

We had such a wonderful Christmas this year.  It is always fun to spend Christmas with Family.  On Christmas Eve I was off work early, and Jon's mom and sister Avena came down to spend the Holiday with us.  On Christmas Eve day we were very busy.  We have a plug in our bathroom that broke.  Jon tried to fix it, but it was the wrong size.  So it will be saved for another day.

After that was done, Jon made Rice Krispies Treats while his mom made sugar cookies for us to decorate.

Frosting Sugar Cookies!!

Thanks Avena for taking all the pictures.  It allowed me to be in some of them. :)

That evening we had a Christmas program Family Home Evening.  Jon's sister Avena brought a poem down about the symbols of Christmas.  Jon's mom shared a couple of Christmas poems.  I played the piano and sang a song, and Jon read the Christmas story out of the Bible while we sang Christmas songs in between verses.  It was a very spiritual night.

Growing up we had a tradition where we would get to open one gift every Christmas Eve.  It was always pajamas.  This year I surprised everyone and made some for all who were here.  It was a lot of fun and they were all surprised.

I made the same ones for the Girls and then a different one for Jon.

Merry Christmas from the Robbins!!!

Christmas morning was a lot of fun.  Jon got a DeWalt Drill and I got a sewing table!!  I was so excited to see that sitting by my stocking.

We had such a great Christmas.  We wish Jon's mom and sister could have stayed longer, but we enjoyed they time they were here.  Thanks so much for coming.  We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.

'Tis the Season!!

I love this time of year.  I have had so much fun decorating my house, listening to Christmas music and working on projects for Christmas.  I was a little worried that I got in over my head.  But I had such a fun time making things for Christmas.  Here are some pictures of  the projects I've made.  I couldn't put this up before Christmas, otherwise people would have seen their gifts before they opened them!! Have fun!

Necklace for Jon's Sister

Table Runner for my Mom

I made boot cuffs for my sister, and for a friend of mine.

Christmas Jammies!!  These were really fun to make.  It was fun to see they fit everyone so well.

I love being able to make things for the people I love.  I hope they enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them.

Holiday Festivities

I love this time of year, the lights, the sounds, the smells.  It is all so festive and fun.  Tuesday night December 10th, my parents and grandparents came up to my house for dinner and to look at lights.  We had a delicious ham dinner.  It was fun to have my grandparents here.  They have never seen my house, so this was a perfect time to show them.  We scheduled the date we did, because Jon wasn't working.  Then he got assigned to ref a basketball game, and ended up not being able to be here.  It was kind of a bummer, but the rest of us had such a great time.  So after dinner we drove around town to look at lights.

Heading out to see the lights!!

We loved this place and had so much fun.

On Friday I took a friend to downtown Yakima to have a horse drawn carriage ride.  Unfortunately we didn't get to go on one, because the guy who is doing it was sick that night and had to cancel it.  But we had fun while we were waiting.

On December 14th we had our Ward Christmas Party.  It was a Potluck dessert night. There were lots of treats.  No Christmas party is complete without Santa Claus!!  We had a visit from the Jolly guy and we got to tell him what we want for Christmas.
